What is Happening To Our Milton???
Police are searching for suspects after 11 people were forced to the ground and robbed, and one stabbed, during a late-night mugging at a Milton skateboard park.
The victims, ages 18 to 25, were hanging out at the park on Thompson Rd. near Main St. around 11:30 p.m. Friday when they were swarmed by four men wearing bandanas around their faces.
The assailants – one armed with a gun, the others toting a knife and a baseball bat – lined the victims up on the ground and rifled through their pockets, removing cellphones, cash and credit cards, police said.
A 20-year-old Georgetown man was stabbed during the robbery and taken to Milton Hospital, where he was later released.
A 19-year-old Milton woman suffered a minor cut after one of the suspects threw a bottle at her.
Investigators probed the area with a canine unit, but failed to find any suspects.
The suspects are described as being between 16 to 20 years old, dressed completely in black clothing. One of the suspects is Hispanic, police said.
