Brampton – Investigators are appealing for members of the public to come forward with information, as they continue to investigate a series of thefts which took place in private residences during scheduled real estate open houses.
Beginning April 26, 2009, and ending with the arrest of a suspect on May 21, 2009, an undetermined number of homes were targeted by an adult Brampton woman and two young persons, none of whom can be identified under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Currently, the adult suspect has been charged with six counts of Theft Under $5,000, as well as one count each of Theft Over $5,000, and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. The suspect is scheduled to appear in a Brampton court to answer
to the charges.
Investigators have recovered a quantity of stolen property, some of which has not been matched to it owners.
Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are asking anyone who has information about these incidents, or who would like to report additional related incidents, to call Constable Nagraat (905) 453-2121, ext. 2233.
