I’m wondering what it means when one sets a couple of Personal Bests a week in the same thing. Yes, it’s obviously a sign of increasing fitness, however, there has to be more to it.
Today’s PB was obvious – I was on typical tie-PB pace until my last marker, which is about 12 minutes out from home; I decided to push it and see if I could cover that last distance in 10 minutes or less, and did it in 9:50. I FELT the push as I made up a lot of time over that last little bit.
But what about the days when I feel like a slug, my times are mediocre, and then suddenly, splits improve to where I am on track for another PB?
What do you think? How and or why does it happen?
